TORONTO, June 15, 2021 – BrokerLink is pleased to announce it has acquired Ontario-based Lackner McLennan Insurance Ltd. (formerly Lackner McLennan Insurance and Erb and Erb Insurance Brokers), effective June 1, 2021. This acquisition will enable BrokerLink to expand and serve customers in more communities in Southern Ontario.
Building on strong community roots
Located in Kitchener, Ontario, Lackner McLennan Insurance Ltd. (LMI) has served the Kitchener/Waterloo community with unique insurance solutions since 1919. For over 100 years, the Canadian brokerage has offered its customers home, auto, travel and life insurance solutions. The brokerage also has a solid history of providing customers with tailored commercial insurance, including coverage for hospitality and restaurant, cyber, transportation, medical and specialty products.
The principals of LMI: Cameron Yule, Stephen Bleizeffer, Dean McKillop, Jeff Dow, James Chmiel, Spencer Yule and Albert Schmidt, are excited about joining BrokerLink and share the following statement:

BrokerLink has invested significantly and expanded into more than 20 communities from north to southern Ontario over the past 12 months, with acquisitions including: John F. Smith Insurance Brokers (1982) Inc., Cambridge Insurance Brokers Ltd., and LMI, as well J.G. Rivet Brokers Limited, R.L. Gougeon Limited and Cambrian Insurance Brokers Limited. In addition, BrokerLink acquired several well-established brokerages in Alberta: Rocky Mountain Agencies Co. Ltd., All City Insurance Ltd., Air-Alta Insurance (Airdrie) Ltd., Centre Street Insurance Inc., and Gold Key Insurance Ltd.
